We have a three bedroom house in a private road in a lovely village 6 miles from Tunbridge Wells. The house is double glazed with central heating and off road parking.
Through the front door is a good sized hall, the kitchen is on the right and has spaces for fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, gas or electric cooker (9ft 6” x 8ft 7”). Looking down the hall past the stairs is the lounge (15ft 8” x 13ft 7”). The living room is off the hall. The garden leads off the lounge with a patio area and private garden. At the top of the stairs on your left is the bathroom (newly fitted with bath, shower and toilet etc 7ft x 7ft). 3 Beds: (12ft 22 x 9ft 2”), (10ft 2” x 9ft 2”) and 10ft 8 x 8ft 6).
We are looking for a house of similar size in the Swanage area of Dorset.
Area
Wadhurst is a very sought after village location with excellent amenities.
There is a newsagent and sub Post Office just over the road from the house which is less than a minute away. There is a supermarket which is five minutes walking distance.
In the centre of the village there are two high street banks, a main Post Office, a butchers, bakers, greengrocer, fishmonger, flower shop, electrical retailer, pubs and restaurants (Indian, Chinese, fish and chips etc).
Wadhurst has its own main line train station, which runs regular services to London (50 minutes) and the South Coast (Hastings 20 minutes). There is also a great bus service.
Wadhurst is only 6 miles from Tunbridge Wells which has the excellent Royal Victoria Shopping Centre, stores include Fenwicks, Marks and Spencer, Bhs and Boots plus all the shops you would expect to find in a large town.
The schools in Wadhurst are excellant the local primary school is five minutes walk away. Wadhurst Primary school is one of very few schools with a nursery school in its grounds. There are two primary schools. There is also a secondary school in the village, which again is exceptional. Please see the links below:-

There is a childcare centre attached to the secondary school which looks after children from the ages of 2 to 11. You can drop children off at 8.00am and they take them to school, they also pick children up after school and look after them until 6.00pm. They also run holiday clubs through the summer holidays. They can look after younger children all day or just half days. They accept childcare vouchers.

In Wadhurst playing fields in Sparrows Green, there is the adventure park for the children with swings, climbing frames, slides, see saw and zip line. The tennis club is at the bottom of the park with four astro turf tennis courts.
